2016 – Magnolia Soapbox Derby awarded Knight Foundation grant to support regional Gravity Racing Challenge expansion and Community Build Grants.

2017 – Magnolia Soapbox Derby awarded Downtown Challenge Fund – supported by generous grants from the Peyton Anderson Foundation and the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation and overseen by the Community Foundation of Central Georgia. The $3,000 will support the integration of a STEM Zone to Soapbox Saturday for the sole purpose to engage fourth- to eighth-graders using a Hot Wheels inspired curriculum.
